With friends like this, who needs Democrats?

One of the problems that has been baked into our system is the fact that anybody can run as a Democrat and anybody can run as a Republican—regardless of their core beliefs or the absence of those.

There’s an art to saying the right things to make the electorate think you are something that you’re really not. That art got Liz Cheney into office where she was able to help the Democrats for six years. But she was so obviously not who she said she was that her electorate threw her out the first chance they got.

The recent omnibus bill put a spotlight on people who called themselves Republicans long enough to get elected. Familiar names. Cheney. Kinsinger. Romney. And a half a dozen others.

The word is Quisling. Quisling was a Norwegian who spread out the welcome mat for the Nazis. He made a name for himself in the sense that his name is now associated with those among us who would betray the trust of those who gave them power and work for the enemy.

Nine Republican Quislings served up to the Democrats a winning hand. And the country is $1.7 trillion poorer. And more to the point, it’s another $1.7 million fed to the inflation beast. Interest rates will climb higher and higher to try to overcome that. And we will watch the economy become even more sluggish.

It’s easy to feel good when you see those who ‘get it’ take a majority but when there are enough quislings in the pack, it becomes relatively meaningless. The omnibus should have been stopped in its tracks by a party that has better sense. But unfortunately anyone can call themselves a Republican.

With ‘republican’ friends like these, who needs Democrats?

Big Tech. The New Playground Bullies

When Junior comes home with a black eye parents fly in the action. They talk to the schools; they talk to the parents; they make a crystal clear this is not acceptable.

Bullying is the worst. Kids that happen to grow up bigger and stronger forcing their will on the smaller and weaker. What’s not to hate about that?

Fast forward to today.

In this, the freest of all countries, you are required to say and believe what the monitors on Facebook and Google and Amazon approve. If you don’t, they will hurt you. They will flag you as misinformation. They will deplatform your article. If they don’t like you bad enough, they will simply take away your microphone. ‘Go in the bathroom and talk to yourself. You are no longer part of our forum.’

How is this different than the kid that grew up big and is now forcing his will on the smaller?

Can it be wrong one place and right in another?

It’s time to call big tech out for what it’s doing. Plain and simple, it’s bullying. And it needs to stop.

Trump and the Lilliputians

If you assemble all the people that have taken a cheap shot at Donald Trump in the last 24 hours and add up their lifetime accomplishments, the sum total of those will not equal his. Developer turning millions into billions. Television celebrity. President catalyzing rare calm in the Middle East and bringing back a shattered economy— twice. Who else has done that? Or anything close?

It’s easy, and sadly rewarding, for people to make themselves feel bigger by taking shots at those who have accomplished. It brings to mind an illustration of Gulliver tied down by the Lilliputians.

To acknowledge the magnitude of Donald Trump’s accomplishments would somehow, it seems, diminish the haters. And that says way more about those small-minded Lilliputians than it does about him.

It Was Cheating Then, It’s Cheating Now

As long as there are elections that determine who will hold power and who will control and distribute money, there will be people who want to cheat. The rest of us must be vigilant and constantly on guard to keep elections clean, free and fair.

Back in 1981, near the small town of Antelope, Oregon an Indian guru—the Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh—set up a commune designed to be an idyllic utopian farming community. They were industrious and it went pretty well at first. But when they were not allowed to do things that violated county and city ordinances, major tensions grew between those on the ranch and the local town folk.

Frustrated that they couldn’t have their way, the Rajneeshees, as they were called, determined that they needed to take over the politics of the town and even the county. They did take over and rename the town, but on their commune they didn’t have enough voters to prevail in Wasco county elections. Their remedy for this—and if this doesn’t start to sound familiar to you, it should—was to fill buses with homeless people, bring them to the ranch and fold them into their commune in time for the next election. They brought busload after busload. Then, when election time came, they sent that several hundred people out to vote their way.

Interestingly, just to make sure that their effort didn’t fail they went to ten local eateries—in The Dalles, Oregon and around the county—and spread salmonella germs on the self-service buffets so the locals would be too sick to get to the polls. Over 700 people fell ill.

Predictably, these efforts caused them enough legal difficulties and turmoil that they not only didn’t win the vote, their idyllic utopian commune quickly fell apart.

Why do I tell this story? I see no difference between what they were doing then and what Democrats are doing today on the border: Find a group of people who will be totally dependent upon you, bring them into your Society and make voters of them. It’s how you win elections.

And as for the salmonella let it just be a warning to us that people who are so motivated will stop at almost nothing to make sure elections go their way.

If you can see a difference between what the Bhagwan did in Antelope, Oregon and what Joe Biden is doing on the border, you’ll have to educate me on that difference. Apart from scale, I see none. It was cheating when the Bhagwan brought people to Oregon purely for their vote. And it’s cheating when Joe Biden stops construction on the wall, spreads out the welcome mat, and secretly flies plane loads of illegal immigrants into Pennsylvania, Florida and other states where he knows that Democrats will need more votes.

Please be warned. We must be ever suspicious and always vigilant, for people who are so motivated will stop at nothing to tilt elections their way.

Socialists despise capitalism, but they desperately need it

Can you have capitalism without Socialism? Absolutely. America did it for nearly 150 years.

Can you have Socialism without capitalism? Not really. Somebody has to create the wealth that Socialism divides.

Capitalism multiplies, Socialism divides.

In a pure free-market capitalist system, you can choose. You can choose to produce, and get a reward. Or you can choose not to, and starve. In that way, capitalism motivates. If you don’t want to starve, you create something that your neighbors want bad enough to pull out their wallets and buy it from you—or you work for someone that does create such things. CAPITALISM, BY IT’S VERY NATURE, KEEPS PEOPLE DOING NICE THINGS FOR EACH OTHER. Not altruistically, as Ayn Rand would happily point out, but greedily. With full self interest. But doing nice things for each other, nonetheless. That is Thomas Paine‘s ‘invisible hand’. The silent force that guides a capitalist economy to prosperity. Unbridled greed, inspired by hunger, forces people to look beyond themselves and create beyond themselves, making and doing good things for others so that they get the prize. Profit. And profit is what you eat.

Socialism contains none of that. It’s top down power, forcing people to do things they probably don’t want to do to receive a meager share of the spoils. In that way Socialism demotivates. It inspires nothing. There is no invisible hand guiding things, the hand is very visible and very oppressive. It has to be because without motivation, people need to be forced.

So… Can you have capitalism without Socialism? Yes you absolutely can. Can you have Socialism without capitalism? Only with an oppressive tyranny driving a population to produce, and then it’s only half as effective. People driven to produce are not motivated and therefore not as productive.

Capitalism multiplies Socialism divides. And you can’t divide nothing. Socialists despise capitalism, but they depend on it to create wealth. They then swoop in, seize that wealth and divide it out to those who will, with an open hand out, keep the socialists in power.

For people who pride themselves on their sense of fairness, what’s fair about that?

What is Politics?

When you strip all of the gingerbread off of it: all of the blue suits and red ties—all of the conventions—all of the news conferences and lapel pins, politics is manipulating perceptions to make yourself and your side look good, and the other side look bad. Whatever that takes.

Unfortunately, there are times that honesty gets in the way of that, and unfortunately that often doesn’t stop the ilk of people who self-identify as politicians.

What is politics? Nothing you will find in the 10 Commandments.

87,000 New Mouths to Feed

A business always thinks twice before it adds another person to it’s payroll.

There is the cost of wages which must be met week after week, month after month. Beyond that there are payroll expenses: Social Security, workers comp, payroll accounting, etc.

Now add the fact that more people need more layers of management so it’s not just that one person‘s wages and payroll expense, but it adds to the whole burden of the company overhead.

And every person needs a place to work. So in addition to that new person you need trucks or tools or space with furnishings and equipment for them to do their job.

And new people require training. Nobody hits the ground running, so there’s always a break in period—time when other people need to stop what they’re doing and bring this new person up to speed.

So adding a new person is not a casual decision. It must be carefully analyzed against the bottom line.

With that as context, it’s alarming how easily our current president adds 87,000 people to the government payroll. Not 87; not 870; not 8700, but 87,000 new mouths to feed—casually added to the government payroll like ordering up a new box of pencils.

That could only make sense to a person who has received a cushy government paycheck for, oh, say 47 years and never once in his life had to meet a payroll.

They told us the adults were coming to Washington.

We’re waiting…

January 6 – – Keeping it in the News

As we get closer and closer to the midterm elections expect the January 6 committee to ramp up it’s efforts; it’s legal maneuverings; it’s faux outrage. Whatever it takes to keep the insurrection lie alive for the next few months—the objective being to keep it in the news as people are voting.

That has been the mission of this committee since day one. Damage Trump, damage Republicans to cast a shadow on the next Election.

When the election is over it will be interesting to see if they just let it die or if they continue wasting taxpayer money on it for another two years—to further cast a shadow on the 2024 election.

Put nothing past them.

Why Election F*aud is So Hard to Fix

We’ve lost control of our elections. They’re counterfeit, they’re a scam, and we will never be able to fix them.

Sorry to start on that dreary note, but that may just be where we are.

There’s plenty of evidence that election f*aud is happening. Mules. Pizza boxes. Suitcases. Dead people voting. And much more. It’s out there. And it’s happening. But you’re not allowed to talk about it. And once it’s been done, ballot secrecy makes it devilishly hard to prove. Both of those things may prevent our ever getting elections back under control.

First, you can’t talk about election f*aud without being punished. And that may happen here. Your social media account is flagged or blocked and you are branded a conspiracy theorist.

But worse yet, even if you could talk about it, you can’t do so without making an accusation. And if you make an accusation you can’t prove, you could be slandering someone and they could sue you—and you’re left defenseless, because you can’t prove it. And they’re diligent about covering their tracks.

Voting machine records are supposed to be kept for 21 months after an election. But in the last election many voting machine records were erased the night of the election. Why? Erasing the proof. It’s the only proof there could ever be and they know it. “Go ahead, accuse us and see what happens.“

So nobody talks about election f*aud, and it’s almost as though it’s not happening. Which is just how some would like to keep it.

If you can’t talk about it you can’t fix it. Yet without free and fair elections, what is America? How can you have a representative republic when voters can’t confidently choose their representatives?

This is an existential threat to the America that so many gave their blood to keep.

What are we to do?

Whatever Else You Do Today, Wound the Opposition

Character assassination is a very important tool in the Marxist arsenal. They work tirelessly to demonize, wound, weaken their opposition. If possible, silence the opposition. It makes their message that much louder—makes them and their ‘cause’ that much stronger.

For the last six years Donald Trump has been relentlessly pursued. There has been a never ending effort to wound him, weaken him, demonize him—with that same singular purpose: To blunt the very effective opposition that he represents to their socialist takeover.

We hear so much about Donald Trump that we think it’s about Donald Trump. But if Ted Cruz had won the election, this would all be happening to Ted Cruz. It’s just the way they work.

Republicans view politics as a give-and-take. ‘Let’s work things out and meet in the middle.’ I think it’s fair to say Democrats used to have that same mindset. But somewhere along the way, that changed. Today’s Marxist Democrats view politics as a life or death struggle—a fight to the finish. It’s a win or lose battle. If a few people get hurt along the way, that happens in war. Tough.

Impeachment, phony Russian collusion, and now the information-fishing raid on Mar-a-Lago. All done by the Marxist Democrats with one laser focused purpose. Wound the opposition. Weaken him to strengthen ourselves.

Once you realize that, it all makes better sense.
